The chalet park Les Chalets de Bellecôte is beautifully situated directly on the ski slope and above the charming centre of Vallandry. Les Chalets de Bellecôte form part of the extensive and highly diverse Paradiski ski area, renowned for its excellent connections and short waiting times at the ski lifts. The area offers an exceptional variety of pistes, many of which run through stunning forested landscapes. With a wide selection of blue, red and black runs, the ski area is suitable for beginners as well as advanced and experienced skiers.
Paradiski includes the ski areas of Les Arcs (1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000 metres), Vallandry, Plan Peisey and Villaroger, and is connected to the La Plagne ski area via the Vanoise Express. With more than 425 kilometres of interconnected pistes, over 230 runs, three glaciers—two of which rise above 3,000 metres—and an altitude range of approximately 1,250 to 3,250 metres, Paradiski is one of the largest and most snow-reliable ski areas in the world. No less than 80% of the pistes lie above 2,000 metres, ensuring excellent snow conditions throughout the entire winter season.
Snowboarders are also well catered for, with extensive facilities such as snow parks, boardercross courses, fun parks and a halfpipe. In addition, there are numerous opportunities for snowshoe hiking, cross-country skiing (including around 40 kilometres of trails in Nancroix), horse-drawn sleigh rides, dog sledding, as well as paragliding and ice climbing in the Peisey/Vallandry area.
A major advantage of Vallandry is its car-free design: cars remain at the edge of the village, making the centre and the chalet park traffic-free and safe. This makes the location particularly suitable for families with children. In the cosy village centre of Vallandry, you will find a ski school, ski rental facilities, childcare for children aged 1 to 6, a cinema, various restaurants and lively après-ski bars, including the well-known Dutch-friendly Jimmy’s Bar.
